The Compurep method of operation
MedSet is a new company formed to beat the current economic crisis. Pairing MedSet with CompuRep, a tried and trusted computer procurement system running for many years, resulted in a new way of distributing products to Medical professionals in our part of the world (Africa, Middle-East, Indian Islands).
The method we developed have been field tested and researched for the past couple of years since 2005.
For the first time, it is possible to manufacture a product and follow its distribution path right up to the end user or patient who uses it, with a single professional system utilising computers and people. Reports can be generated at any stage of the business process – even in retrospect.

Product
We operate in partnership with some of the major manufacturers in their market segment in South Africa.
Helping our partners to streamline production to meet demand cycles in a holistic way but at the same time, use manpower to apply remedial interventions creating better sales.
We can assist in product market research in South Africa and we have access to many information resources regarding medical matters.
With qualified Pharmacists in our employment, our company have all the resources needed to produce medicine dossiers suitable for European registration and can assist you in navigating the complex registration process of medicine or medical devices in Southern African countries.
All our products are legally registered with the South African Medicine Control Council or other authority where applicable.
Our current product range consist of prescription medicine, non-prescription medicine, including injectable products, natural complementary medicine and electronic medical equipment.
Warehousing & Logistics
We take care of warehousing making sure stock levels are physically what they should be monitoring the actual shelf placement of our products.
We have daily deliveries to most Medical Professionals in the areas we service.
This dependable delivery system, builds confidence and is a contributing factor to successful sales.
Pharmaceutical and Sales representatives
Currently we have 4 Pharmaceutical representatives dedicated to areas in Gauteng with one each in Western Cape, Eastern Cape, KwaZulu Natal and Orange Free state. Other Southern African countries are service by an experienced professional. All major role players in medicine procurement, including individual practitioners, wholesalers, hospital groups, mining health institutions, etc. are called upon on a regular basis.
Pharmaceutical representatives will take an order but to drive daily sales we utilize our integrated partner's tele-sales people. With our guidance this system can be very effective in generating sales.
Administration and bookkeeping
Most business processes needs to be documented and controlled to realise ROI and bottom line profit.
Transparent transaction recording with a friendly enquiry system and secure web-access facilities, makes sorting out a problem effortless.
Market research, Promotional planning and Event managing
Effective advertising depends on reaching the target audience. Market research helps us to pin point concentrated marketing effort to maximise sales.
There are many promotional events, medical, dental and pharmaceutical congresses, workshops, cpd's, golf days, etc. we already attend to maximise potential product and brand name exposure.
Computerized system to repeat the business processes
Medical pronouncement in South Africa is highly computerised and sophisticated. Most items are ordered by Electronic Messaging using one or more forms of EDI, XML or other system. We have invested in the computer systems to facilitate these processes.
